Holden’s popular mid-sized Captiva SUV has picked up an AutoChic Car of the Year Award, successfully winning the “Best Car for Mums” category.
More than 25,000 voters lodged their Car of the Year nominations online at autochic.com.au, a website aimed at informing female car buyers.
AutoChic website Founder and Director, Juliet Potter, said Captiva’s sporty good looks, flexible packaging and comprehensive line-up of safety features create a winning combination.
“With the Holden Captiva, yummy mummies can rejoice in firmly securing their street cred with practical features such as rear park assist, seating for up to seven and eye catching good looks,” she said.
“The Captiva ticks the boxes with all the safety mod cons, including Electronic Stability Control and Active Rollover Protection. We think the girls of Australia have got this one right. Congratulations to the captivating Holden Captiva.”
The Captiva range offers a choice of SX, CX and LX models and the Euro-Styled Captiva MaXX. Two powertrains are available, including a fuel-efficient 2.0-litre turbo diesel and powerful 3.2-litre V6 engine. Pricing starts from $33,990* for the 2WD Captiva SX diesel with manual transmission.
Holden’s recently introduced 2WD turbo diesel-powered Captiva is the most economical entry in the medium SUV category, with fuel efficiency (ADR081/01) of 7.2 litres per 100kms for the manual version.
Standard safety equipment across the Captiva range includes Traction Control, Active Rollover Protection, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and curtain airbags.
The Captiva was announced winner of the “Best Car for Mums” AutoChic Car of the Year Award following a six-month online website competition, which asked AutoChic members to nominate their favourite car.
